In late 2023, publicity relating to the Assessing Fitness to Drive Standards 2022, published by Austroads, raised concerns  about driver licensing for Autistic people. Austroads has released a statement to clarify that there are no changes to the fitness to drive requirements for people  diagnosed with autism.
